I painted a lemon tree that I saw in Vernazza, Cinquterre. It was the first thing I saw when I looked out of the window of the apartment I had rented, with a huge lemon tree growing in a neighbouring garden.
It was such a simple and unexpected moment but I thought it was beautiful. I wanted to capture the feeling of looking out of the window and discovering something so bright and full of life.
